Black Barrel is the ideal mixer for long drinks and cocktails. The spicy taste goes perfectly a Cuba Libra and cocktails that require a good dark rum-blend with flavor and character. Black Barrel is created as a co-lab between our master blender and bartenders. As the name suggests, it is aged in charred oak barrels. The charred surface reduces tannins and opens the pores of the wood, giving the alcohol a deeper and softer taste. The result is a deep, aromatic flavor that gives your drink or cocktail extra finesse. A quality blend that can also be enjoyed neat or on-the-rocks.

A.H. Riise’s Royal Danish Navy has always been closely connected to the world’s oceans and the seafaring life, and the wonderful-tasting Black Barrel Navy Spiced blend is no exception. Unlike other AH Riise blends which have a more amber, glowing hue, Black Barrel is more the colour of treacle. This comes Through aging of the rum in heavily burnt oak casks the rum gains oak casks which have a heavily charred interior. A steadfast companion on shore, at sea and in the air.
