What better way to commemorate the Danish Frogman Corps than with a unique blend whose nearly 200-year-long history has had a long and established connection with the Royal Danish Navy? Our Frogman - is hand-blended by our master distiller from up to 15 different casks and aged in beautiful barrels - each with a unique history.
Despite the high alcohol volume, it is a rather light nose, dominated by balsamic glaze and mocca with orange zest on top and a hint of toast.
The alcohol is more present on the palate but in a nice and integrated way, where the notes from the nose all re-appear as well as pineapple and coconut.
Very creamy with notes of dark chocolate and mocca.
Golden red.
60% vol.

The Frogman Corps is the Danish equivalent of the American Navy Seals. When the frogmen end their active service, they can become members of the veteran association Conventus Ranae, which means a gathering of frogs. Here they can attend to their wounds, whether physical or mental, among peers. In recent years, A.H. Riise has collaborated with Conventus Ranae. Among other things, this has led to the launch of the famous A.H. Riise “Danish Navy Frogman” and, in 2017, the exceptional “Royal Danish Navy Frogman 60” was launched to mark the Frogman Corps’ 60th anniversary.
A.H. Riise has so far donated more than €130,000 (as of 2021) to the fund. Current and former Frogmen are one big family and we help each other when it is needed. With the help of the fund, we have been able to be more systematic in supporting and helping Frogmen in vulnerable situations,” states “Klaus”, a member of the fund’s board, who didn’t want to give his surname, as he is still an active Frogman.
