A.H. Riise XO “Reserve Ambre d’Or” is an exclusive blend, aimed at those who favour a soft, sweet and characterful experience. Each batch represents a unique snapshot in the history of products created in the spirit of A.H. Riise. Albert Heinrich Riise studied botany and advanced science and by combining his extensive botanical knowledge with the plethora of unusual tropical plants, Riise successfully produced some of the finest rums and bitters in the whole of the Caribbean.
In his search for more knowledge, A.H. Riise found a variety of herbs, plants, and animals. Ameiva Riisei is a small lizard found on many islands in the West Indies. Copenhagen Zoological Museum’s example was collected on 30 August, 1866 and registered on 1 September, 1871. Today it can be found on our Ambre d’Or XO reserve label.
